First Blog

intro

This is my life in a nut shell, and I am sure many of you can relate. If it’s not the baby it’s the puppy. If it’s not the puppy, then it’s the baby. They are most defiantly partners in crime. And if it’s not either of them then it’s the toddler, who creates her own set of problems. And you know what, I wouldn’t have it Β any other way! And I know you wouldn’t either. Welcome!

Blog focus

Hi Everyone! I’m Tonya and welcome to my first blog post. I want my blog to touch on my crazy daily life, my sewing adventures, arts and crafts, essential oils, and anything else I feel you guys can benefit from or relate to! I am a proud momma of two wonderful girls, a wife, and a mom to a cocker spaniel puppy.

After I had my second girl I decided to stay home to take care of and raise them. I started selling the items that I was sewing to help my husband with the burden of the bills. I have been sewing on and off since I was in elementary school. With the help of my grandma I would make quilts and dresses. As I got older I lost interest in sewing. I got married in 2011, and I started slowly sewing again. Starting with an apron for my then job, a patriotic themed quilt, and a purse. It wasn’t until I had my first daughter in 2013 that I really started sewing again. I was making so much stuff that I couldn’t keep it all! Local friends, and their friends, were asking me to make them for them. Anywhere from baby items to quilts to anything else in-between. And the rest is history!

The last month or so I got involved with essential oils. This hobby is new and I can’t wait to see where it takes me! So far I have made roller blends, chap sticks, face cream, and I just ordered supplies to make bath bombs! I can’t wait to make those, and I can’t wait to share my oily journey with you all as well!

That’s enough about me! I would love to hear from you all. Until next time Mommas!

  1. Hi, Tonya. I stopped by to see who had come to visit. I always like to leave a little note and let you know I enjoyed your post. I am a sewer too and started when my children were small and I stayed at home with them. Long, long, ago. πŸ™‚ I still sew but not as much as I would like, I craft and quilt a bit as well. I was looking for your follow button but didn’t see it so I’ll check back in with you soon. Thanks for stopping by.

    • Uh oh! I’ll have to look to see. I do have at least one person following so it’s there somewhere! Ha.

  2. Hi Tonya, I love to sew too. I was admiring the fabric you used for the tote on Kelleys DIY give away https://kelleysdiy.com/2017/07/24/look-at-these-wonderful-gifts/ ( I sponsored with one of my aprons as prize) and looked for your site to say hello. Hello.
I looked for a follow button too but it doesn’t come up on the RH scroll πŸ™ neither does a ‘like’ button on your post. Hmm, but perhaps that’s on purpose. Either way. Nice to meet you. ~cheers Mona
