Way Back Wednesday. Fancy Fox

Yay!! We’ve made it to round 3 of Way Back Wednesday! I’m so excited to share this weeks way back quilts. I have made two of them so far and I can’t wait to make some more! Hopefully two for my girls.

This Pattern is called Fancy Fox by Elizabeth Hartman

I really love this pattern because well Foxes. The only thing I don’t like is all the cutting, she makes it easy though! But lets face it, cutting fabric in general just sucks. Once all that nasty prep work is out of the way these foxes come together quickly and easily!

I would put a fox or two together in between sewing projects to break it up a bit, and before I knew it I would have all the foxes put together.

I made one for a boy and one for a girl.

I love all the shades of teal in the boy one. And I used a solid teal backing to finish it off. The girl one I used a light pink and white dot silky soft flannel to finish it off. Really I just got lucky and had it in my stash and I didn’t have to get dressed in real clothes and leave my house to go buy backing. The foxes I was able to use fat quarters or scrapes. I did have to get background fabric.

Another thing I LOVE about these quilts are the GLASSES!!! It makes for a smart looking fox!

So cute and so inquisitive looking.

These are such great quilts. I want to tackle a lap or twin size of these quilts.

Have you made a Fancy Fox quilt before? I’d love to see!

Thanks for stopping by!

Sew On,

  1. Hi Tonya,
I did make this pattern just recently for a little baby named Fox Edward. I just love the teal one -the fabrics are just great. And the fox wearing glasses . . . too darn cute! ~smile~ Roseanne
